Lasswade Gymnastics Club
Welcome to Lasswade Gymnastics Club – the resident club at Midlothian Gymnastics Academy.
We are a registered charity and are run by a board of trustees consisting of a majority of volunteer members as well as 2 members of the coaching team.
The aim of the Club is to provide a safe, effective and child friendly environment in which members can participate in competitive artistic gymnastic activities under the guidance of appropriately qualified coaches.
Our club is proud to have achieved the British Gymnastics Gym Mark accreditation. This is in recognition of our high operating standards, use of best practice and our continual provision of safe and effective environments for our gymnasts to realise their potential.
We operate an open philosophy and we encourage and value parental involvement in the Club.
Our gymnasts are organised into training groups according to their age, experience and individual needs and coaches will be pleased to discuss the training programme and your child’s needs with you.
Our coaches are all British Gymnastics qualified coaches at the appropriate level and have been screened for their suitability to work with children. A Welfare Officer (Child Protection Co-ordinator) has been appointed by the Club to deal with any safety issues – details of the current Welfare Officer (CPC) are displayed on the Club notice board.
Training times allocated and fees required are advised each year (April to March) but may be adjusted up or down at the Head Coaches sole discretion. Members will also require annual membership of Scottish Gymnastics, which includes appropriate insurance for your child and the club.
The Club has adopted the Scottish Gymnastics policies for Child Protection, Equity and Codes of Conduct and all officials, coaches, members and parents must adhere to these policies. A copy is available in the Club Office at all times.
We hope that your child will enjoy gymnastics and being a member of Lasswade Gymnastics Club.
